The international economic KazanSummit conference has brought foreign and domestic leaders for the 10th time in Tatarstan’s capital to talk about trade and investment cooperation between Russia and the Islamic world.
The anniversary event was attended by Dr. Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen, secretary-general of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov, Dr. Zamir Iqbal, Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of the Islamic Development Bank, and other dignitaries.
Opening the forum, Tatarstan’s President Rustam Minnikhanov read out the greetings by Russian President Vladimir Putin who called for fair and mutuall beneficial collaboration, zero tolerance to unfair competition and illegitimate sanctions.
“I would like to re-affirm ouR commitment to bolstering constructive partnership between Russia and the islamic world”.
“In this regard, we value the efforts of the Russia – Islamic world strategic vision group chaired by tatarstan president rustam minnikhanov”.
“Today Tatarstan is a window into the Muslim world,” added Rustam Minnikhanov.
He later talked about the achievements of the Russia – Islamic World group and announced that this year will see the fourth annual meeting of the Group.
