I hereby nominate Dr. Yury Yakovets, President of Pitirim Sorokin-Nicolai Kondratieff International Institute (consultative status with the UN ECOSOC), Chairman of the Section on Cycles and Forecast Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences, President of the Yalta Civilization Club (PhD in Economics); and Dr. Suheil Farah, foreign member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, President of Open University, President of the Russian-Lebanese House for an outstanding contribution to providing a scientific foundation for the Strategy to ensure global security, shaping a sustainable multi-polar world order on the basis of dialogue and partnership of civilizations, nations, cultures and religions.
Yury Yakovets and Suheil Farah are widely acclaimed as researchers that made a significant contribution to defining the strategy to bolster global security and to overcome existing crises based on the humanistic noosphere civilization and sustainable world order, where dialogue and partnership of civilizations, nations, cultures, and religions, people of different background and generations, play a leading role. They took part in drafting the UN global outlook on the Future of Civlizations in 2050 that was presented at the roundtable as part of the 64th UN General Assembly session in October 2009; as well as the long-term strategy for global sustainable development based on partnership of civlizations that was discussed at the civilization forum as part of the Un RIO + 20 Conference in June 2012; Yalta's Civilization Club's Report on Strategy towards Sustainable Multi-Polar World Order Based on Partnership of Civilizations submitted to the UN and UNESCO in 2017; the New Generation Manifesto on Building a Shared Prosperous and Just World of Civilizations, Eradicate Hunger and Poverty, War and Terrorism on the Planet that will be discussed at the Next Generation Assembly at the UNESCO School in April 2018.
Yury Yakovets and Suheil Farah have organized and moderated civilization forums and discussions on ways to strengthen global peace and security, overcoming the civilization crisis, establishing a humanistic noosphere civilization and shaping a sustainable multi-polar world based on dialogue and partnership of civilizations, nations, cultures and religions. They have authored a series of publications and textbooks on these issues that have been published in English and Arabic languages, international research and education magazine Partnership of Civilizations, founders of Open University For Dialogue of Civilizations and authors and a number of textbooks for the University.
Yury Yakovets and Suheil Farah's research work has a major importance in establishing a scientific foundation for ways to strengthen peace and security globally by engaging broad public groups and the new generation.
