The monument to Russian soldier Marat Akhmetshin, who died in Syria last summer, will be set up in Kazan, according to Islam Today. During a combat mission Akhmetshin was shelled by the militants.
The monument to Akhmetshin will be opened on the territory of the public school No. 113 which he attended as a child. Earlier, the school was named after Akhmetshin.
The bust of the Russian hero is planned to be erected by the beginning of the school year.
